The American Bald Eagle has been part of the Great Seal of the United States since 1782 when Congress adopted it after 6 years of discussion. The arrows and olive branch clutched with the Eagle’s talons represent our country in times of both peace and war. The Eagle gazes left, signifying a time of uncertainty, while standing watch over the fields of our country.  All the while backed by the stars of our flag and the fading night, with the red, white and blue of Old Glory.  This represents the vigilance with which America’s veterans have served with selfless sacrifice since 1776.

I painted this to not only commemorate our national symbol but also to help raise money for veterans suffering with PTSD, it’s associated issues and assist with local veteran’s organizations raise money to help veterans.

All profit made through the prints on my site will be donated.
