Catch the Sun

I love being out on the water early in the morning. I took a snapshot of this boat, but it turned out more like a silhouette and had way too much glare. I decided to paint it anyway and experimented with really thin oil washes and thick paint applied with a palette knife. I really enjoyed it, especially working with the simple shapes and patterns.

 "Catch the Sun", was selected as part of the FAV15% (jury's favorite 15% of the entries) in the November 2019 BoldBrush Painting competition.
